Officers on patrol found themselves conducting a stolen vehicle investigation after
the A.L.P.R system alerted while being driven down a south side street in the city
on Saturday. The reader hit on a parked car and indicated the vehicle was stolen
out of Sarnia. Further investigation revealed that the vehicle was co owned by two
people. Officers were able to track down one of the owners who confirmed the vehicle
was not actually stolen.
A forty seven year old St. Thomas man was arrested Saturday afternoon after Officers
walking the beat located him on Talbot Street in contravention of his release conditions.
The man is currently at large in the community released from the courts with conditions
not to be out side of his residence under the influence of alcohol. Police observed
the man to be intoxicated while speaking with him and took him into custody without
incident. The man was charged one count Breach of Release Conditions. He was held
at the Colin McGregor Justice Building for court.
A thirty two year old St. Thomas woman was arrested early this morning around 3
am during a traffic stop on Edward Street. The woman was wanted on a warrant by
STPS for two counts of Breach of Release Conditions. She was taken into custody
without incident and later released on a Promise to Appear in Court.
