Central Elgin, On - On June 26, 2019 around 4:45 p.m. the Elgin County Ontario Provincial
Police (OPP) responded to a report of a sports motorcycle driving aggressively and
passing unsafely on Wellington Road near St. George Street.
Officers located this motorcycle around John Wise Line and Sunset Road at which
time the motorcycle failed to stop for police. It again aggressively sped away and
passed numerous vehicles unsafely. Police did not pursue and used alternatives such
as having other officers in the area.
Police located the same motorcycle in the Village of Port Stanley. The driver was
arrested after driving towards a police officer that was on foot.
23-year-old Yousef MAHMOUD of London, Ontario has been charged with:
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
- Flight from peace officer
- Assault a peace officer with a weapon
The accused was later released with a court date on July 30th, 2019 in St. Thomas
