OPP  Collision Between Buggy And Vehicle No injuries

Malahide, ON - The Elgin County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a collision between a horse drawn buggy and vehicle on March 3, 2019 around 9:00 a.m. on Springer Hill Road. This occurred between Eden Line and Glencolin Line.

At the time of the collision a northbound pickup truck was passing a northbound horse and buggy.

No injuries were reported to police in regards to the collision. No injuries were reported to police for the horse.

The Elgin County OPP would like to remind motorist to give horse drawn buggies a safe space when passing. This also includes slowing down from the posted speed limit. The Ontario Highway Traffic Act states when approaching driven horses "to exercise every reasonable precaution..."

No charges were laid in relation to this collision investigation.
