The Port Stanley Festival Theatre marked the holiday season with their Annual General Meeting on Thursday, December 14th in the recently opened Palmer Room overlooking the harbour. Yearend presentations outlining successes and challenges of 2017, and goals and aspirations for the coming year were made by Chair of the Board, Brian Welsh, Vice-Chair Scott Shakir, Treasurer Bob Eastick, and Artistic Director Simon Joynes.

35 people were in attendance including Central Elgin Ward 1 Councilor Dan McNeil, Mayor David Marr, PSFT members Gary Badalato and Fanny Yeager, local merchants and PSFT supporters, Elizabeth DeWit (Russell House Apparel) and Troy and Dean Vedova (Kettle Creek Inn).

Sitting Board Members, Brian Welsh, Scott Shakir, Sharron Herrin, Bob Eastick, Richard Haddow, Kingsley Snelgrove, and Gail Ballard were delighted to welcome new Board Members Heather Miklos, Wendy Cowie, and Mary Beth Furanna to the Board. Tribute was paid to long term Board Member Gary McLeod who stepped down after over 15 years of service. Gary will be sorely missed by Board and Staff alike.

In 2018, the theatre celebrates 40 years of live summer theatre in Port Stanley with its biggest season yet: an expanded production team, guest directors, 18 actors, and an extended season that runs until September 8th!

"With a varied season, appealing to single ticket buyers, subscribers, and tour groups alike, the Port Stanley Festival Theatre looks forward to providing another season of top quality entertainment in 2018."
