The Port Stanley Festival theatre is excited to be presenting "Buying the Moose"
by London playwright Michael G. Wilmot as its third offering of the 2017 summer
season. Running from July 5th, in our newly renovated Grace Auditorium, this high
energy romantic comedy, from the playwright who gave us "7-10 Split" and "Love Shack",
enjoys a three-week run with a closing night July 22nd.
Starring Marty Burt ("Great Expectations", "Into the Woods", and "Miracle on 34th
Street"), Caitlin Driscoll ("Bedroom Farce", "Real Estate", and "Punch Up"), Darryl
Pring ("Don’t Dress For Dinner", "Personals", and "OCD") and Meredith Zwicker ("A
Christmas Carol", "Frankenstein", and "Noises Off"), "Buying the Moose" is directed
by guest director Matt Gorman, and Stage Managed by Bradley Dunn, with Set Design
by Joshua Quinlan, and Lighting Design by Karen Crichton.
"Rob and Betty, and Greg and Cheryl have been friends forever, but then something
happens that changes everything. Or does it? Tube tops and inflatable dolls, car
chases and ice cream, tattoos and true love!"
With a varied season, which will appeal to single ticket buyers, subscribers, and
tour groups alike, the Port Stanley Festival Theatre provides another season of
top quality entertainment in 2017.
