Artists tend to be a big hearted group of people, and it is in this spirit that
great art, and a great party are being offered in Support of the Alzheimer's Society.
It has been well established by research that creative pursuits help to keep the
aging brain healthy, so the alignment of artists with The Alzheimer's Society is
a natural one. Some of the best artists in our region are offering work in various
media, to be auctioned in both silent and live auctions.
Work will have have been juried and selected by Mary-Ann Jack-Bleach the former
curator of art for Aeolian Hall.
All work will be displayed, both in the gallery, and on the Art Emporium Port Stanley
Facebook page, when the silent auction starts May 20th. If you can't make it to
the gallery in Port Stanley, or can't keep checking back, there will be options
The very best pieces, as juried by Mary-Ann will be held for the Gala and live auction
which starts at 7pm and runs til 10 pm on May 27th. Auctioneer, Tiffany Coursol
will be on hand, there will be live music by Gary McGill, and refreshments at this
