Port Stanley Festival Theatre Play by the Lake

Come and celebrate our newly renovated home!

Following up on its most successful season ever, the Port Stanley Festival Theatre is excited to announce its 2017 summer line up.

The 2017 summer season will lead off on May 23rd with the return of stand-out performer Leisa Way as she joins forces with Fred Smith, Bobby Prochaska, Nathan Smith, and the Wayward Wind Band in their new revue "Oh Canada, We Sing for Thee", a sparkling celebration of Canada's 150th birthday!

Opening on June 7th, PSFT is thrilled to be producing Norm Foster's hit comedy "On A First Name Basis" for an extended four week run … "Perhaps his best play yet! A love story, a social commentary, and a mystery wrapped in witty dialogue and vivid imagery."

Third up, the Port Stanley Festival Theatre is delighted to be presenting "Buying The Moose", a new comedy by, London playwright, Michael G. Wilmot: Rob and Betty, and Greg and Cheryl have been friends forever, but then something happens that changes everything. Or does it? "Tube tops and inflatable dolls, car chases and ice cream, tattoos and true love … life just gets complicated sometimes."

July 26th brings the world premiere of "Five Alarm" by Krista Da Silva: Ava Rose has tried to win the Wayne Rose Memorial Chili Cook Off for 16 years, but this year it's going to be different! With an iron will, an assistant who knows nothing, and a five-time champion as a bitter rival, Ava Rose strives for triumph in this zany comedy as sweet as it is spicy. Who knew chili could be this much fun?

Closing out the season comes "Midnight Madness" by award winning playwright, Dave Carley. Bloom's Furniture is closing its doors for the last time, but first? Midnight Madness! A chance meeting between old high school friends triggers romance among the waterbeds. "Midnight Madness" … a blast from the past that captures the heart."

With a varied season, appealing to single ticket buyers, subscribers, and tour groups alike, the Port Stanley Festival Theatre looks forward to providing another season of top quality entertainment in 2017.
