The Birds and the Bees Review

The Birds and the Bees, now playing at the Port Stanley Festival Theatre until September 3rd, 2016 teaches us a simple lesson, that it's really hard to control your libido once you start thinking about The Birds and the Bees.

Starring Susan Johnston as Gail, is a lonely mother, and beekeeper, who lives alone until..., Jane Spence as Sarah, is a just separated, daughter, looking for a place to stay..., Terry Barna as Earl, is a bachelor farmer who lives across the road, but is always ready for some..., Ryan Bommarito as Ben, is the young scientist doing research in the area, learning about the bees..., makes for a great mix of actors, all believable, and delivering an amazingly funny, energized performance that was truly worthy of the audience's standing ovation.

Written by Mark Crawford and directed by Simon Joynes, this play is a smash hit out the door, catching the attention of the audience, and never letting go. A great story with tons of laughter, brought to the stage with that special PSFT touch, makes for an unbeatable package, that you won't soon forget.

Eric Bunnell did an outstanding job on the set design for this production. Credit goes to Karen Crichton for the lighting design, Kevin Olsen as stage manager, Joe Recchia as assistant stage manager, Alex Amini for costume design, and Wendy's as show sponsor.

The Birds and the Bees runs from August 17th to September 3rd, 2016, and it's the Runaway Smash Hit Comedy that will keep you laughing every time you think about The Birds and the Bees.
