Solomon and Way to Open 2016 Season

From classic country featured in 'Country Jukebox: The Best of Country Duets', showcased during Port Stanley Festival Theatre's 2014 Season, to the be-dazzelled twang of 'Rhinestone Cowgirl: A Tribute to Dolly Parton' in 2015, Leisa Way and The Wayward Wind Band have been setting the stage for the opening of each season for the past two years.

The quality of vocal range, detailed costumes and instrumental excellence in which Way Productions carry throughout her performances continues to be evident in the numbers and audience response. Both 'Country Jukebox' and 'Rhinestone Cowgirl' sold out of many performances even before the opening night of the season with 'Rhinestone Cowgirl' topping the charts at 98% sold out by the end of the run.

It is with great pleasure the local lake-side theatre will be presenting Way and her band once again opening the 2016 Season with 'Wichita Lineman: The Music of Glen Campbell' starting on May 24th. Performing as Glen Campbell will be the energetic, multi-instrumental master Aaron Solomon. Solomon brings with him years of experience to his characterization of Campbell as he has performed with such artists as Shania Twain, Big Sugar, Jeff Healey and many others. Solomon will be joined by Leisa Way as guest vocalist along with the Wayward Wind Band whom Way is very proud to perform with. Fred Smith (singer/guitar/banjo/harmonica), Bobby Prochaska (signer/bass), Bruce Ley (piano/guitar/vocals), and Sam Cino (drums/vocals) round out the authentic sound of the Wayward Wind Band.

"Take a trip down memory lane with the songs of pop and country music legend Glen Campbell along with friends from 'The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour' television show including Anne Murray, Johnny Cash, Bobbie Gentry, Roger Miller, and Kenny Rogers. Mega-hits by country rocker Tanya Tucker and The Beach Boys (of which Glen was a member) round out the bill. Audiences will be treated to such toe-tappin' hits as Rhinestone Cowboy, By the Time I Get to Phoenix, Galveston, Gentle on My Mind, Southern Nights, Delta Dawn, Dreams of the Every Day Housewife, Snowbird, King of the Road and many, many more!" Reserve your tickets early as this hit is sure to sell out fast!
