This Day is Warm acrylic, image 11x10 inches, framed 17x15 inches.
This painting reminds me of Mexico. When I was in university, I spent 2 summers
there as part of a group that participated in community work. The intensity of the
warm colours there has continued to be expressed in many pieces of my art.
The technique is collage using papers I painted in different ways using fluid acrylic
paints. The composition is intuitive, not planned, and I love how the image evolves
and emerges as I work with colours and textures that I like.
