Alerts for: Metro Montréal - Laval

4:46 AM EST Wednesday 20 February 2019
Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Châteauguay - La Prairie area
  • Laval area
  • Longueuil - Varennes area
  • Montréal Island area

5 to 10 centimetres of snow between tonight and Thursday morning.

Most of the snow will fall overnight or until early Thursday morning. As a result, the impact on commute will be less significant.

Thursday morning, snow may change to light freezing rain over Montreal and areas near the American Border.

In addition, given the precipitations received since the beginning of winter, the weight of snow and ice on roofs can pose a threat. Please monitor the situation by the end of winter.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to QCstorm@canada.ca or tweet reports using #QCStorm.
