Port Stanley United Church

Port Stanley United Church Service of Worship at 10:30 a.m. followed by a time of fellowship. Come join us. We are now wheelchair friendly and barrier free. We have a new minister, Rev. Elizabeth Stewart, who joined us last April. We have now added a Sunday School again for parents of young children. From January to the end of April, we are having "Lunch and Learn" sessions on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month. We have a speaker from 11:30 - 12:00 followed by a soup and sandwich lunch. (free will offering) In January we had John Morrow speak about the history of Port Stanley and on the second Thursday, we had Pharmacist Rick Nemett speak. On Feb 14, Al Hurst, a member of the St Thomas Field Naturalist Club will be speaking and showing slides of the birds of Elgin County. On Feb 28, John Sanders, a lawyer, will talk on Wills and Power of Attorney. March 1 a World Day of Prayer Service will be held in Port Stanley United Church at 2:00 PM followed by light refreshments downstairs. Our Annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper will be held on March 5, from 5-7PM.

Al-Anon Family Groups

Al-Anon Family Groups offer support for family and friends affected by someone else's drinking problem. We come together every Friday at 7:30 pm at the Christ Anglican Church 283 Colborne St. Port Stanley. Don't suffer another minute, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Port Stanley & Community 55+ Club Meets every Monday 1:30 - 4 p.m. to play Euchre at the Masonic Centre, Fruitridge Line and Sunset Drive. For info call 519-782-4801 (John Brenders) or 519-685-2101 (Marie Geerts).

PSVA ELECTION 2018 CANDIDATES EVENING
Listen to candidates for Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Ward 1 Councillor and Ward 2 Councillor present their platforms and their vision for the future of Port Stanley. Each candidate will be asked to make opening remarks addressing topics suggested by the Port Stanley Village Association following which there will be a moderated Q&A to allow those in attendance to direct questions to candidates. The meeting is open to everyone – please pass this information to your friends and neighbours. This is your opportunity to learn more about the people who will shape the future of Port Stanley.
