Port Stanley West Breakwater

Port Stanley West Breakwater, also known as the Port Stanley Pier is open to the public through the spring, summer, and fall, closing November 1st each year and opening again in the spring. Central Elgin obtained ownership of the breakwater through the transfer of lands from the federal government in 2010. The rehabilitation of the breakwater cost a total of approximately 3.1 million.

King George VI Lift Bridge

Watching the boats pass under this bridge is a favourite attraction for both tourists and residents. During the boating season it opens every half hour to let through sail boats, fishing boats, and large motor yachts.

Main Beach

A wide, clean, sandy beach with shallow water close to shore. Public changing rooms and washroom facilities. Swings, pavillion, and a variety of dining establishments. Life guards on duty during the summer months. Enjoyed by sunbathers, strollers, swimmers, and beach volley ball enthusiasts. A Blue Flag beach.

Little Beach

Little Beach is a more secluded beach cove, located on the east side of Main Street and on the east side of the harbour. It has a buoyed net across it to keep swimmers safe from harm. No lifeguards on duty at this beach.

Port Stanley Terminal Rail

Go for a ride on a piece of history in this historic train. Featuring closed and open air cars travelling through scenic countryside, from Port Stanley to St. Thomas, and return. Gift shop, photographs, and souvenirs available at the train station. Special Murder Mystery train rides.
